We managed to finagle a 24 hour layover in Dubai on our way to Zanzibar. Even though I had already been, I knew the Burj Kahlifa (the tallest building in the world) was a bucket list item for Ben [#marriagesacrifices].
So, first stop, the Dubai Mall. We haven't exactly been dressing to their "casual elegance" dress code, and knew we needed to up our game before we got in. Side note: the Dubai mall is BEAUTIFUL. Really amazing.
Then it was off to the Burj! They really are the most overpriced cocktails and bar nuts you'll ever purchase, but worth it to be on top of the world.
