Low Key in Koh Samui

While it was difficult to leave Krabi and Railay behind, after Christmas we headed to Koh Samui and right into the path of typhoon Tembin. After surviving the ferry ride from hell, we arrived at the most amazing post-Christmas treat: an ENTIRE apartment. It was all ours [a huge win for 2 low-budget nomads].

We spent our 9 days in Koh Samui drinking entire pots of coffee [and bottles of wine], cooking delicious meals, wandering down the beach and back, going on a couple of runs, and occasionally venturing out for an ad hoc margarita, massage, or cooking class. Even though the weather was mostly garbage, when the sun came out, it was breathtaking.
